I spent Thanksgiving weekend with relatives in Pleasanton, CA this year. It was quite a family-fun-filled weekend as my cousins and brother flew in from New York as well. We took one of the little ones for a walk along Santa Cruz Beach Boardwalk on Thanksgiving morning. Because everything there was closed, it was a great opportunity to stroll on the beach without its usual crowd.

We had a massive Thanksgiving/Friendsgiving dinner with my aunt's friends and some of our friends too. Unfortunately, I was too busy and overwhelmed with the food and crowd that I forgot to take more photos of the feast. It was an American-style Thanksgiving dinner with a Thai twist. We went for a short hike the next day in an attempt to take some of our dinner off our bodies. My brother led us to Mount Diablo, which was right behind his high school.

It was a food-filled weekend, as per usual with any weekend spent with my family. I am very grateful to have friends and family here in the US that make it possible for me to spend Thanksgiving and feel so at home on the other side of the planet. I am also thankful that I can share this journey with you all here :)
